Who We Are

Imaging For Life

RAPA is the best choice for your diagnostic imaging provider.

Our “Imaging for Life” approach to patient care incorporates the latest technology with highly skilled professionals to preserve and improve the health and long-term quality of life for Arkansans. At Radiology Associates, P.A., the physicians and technologists understand the distinction between performing a test and providing compassionate healthcare. With that in mind we strive to balance the comprehensive needs of the individual, both as a patient and as a person with health concerns. We also remain aware of the family support network and the need for privacy. This uniquely human perspective enables the RAPA team to establish an invaluable trust with our patients and referring physicians throughout Arkansas.

Evidence of this growing trust and respect from patients and peers is our emerging statewide presence; RAPA physicians now provide insight, expertise and medical care at over 50 imaging centers, clinics and hospitals across Arkansas.

A History Of

Leadership

Over the years, RAPA has boldly introduced many new technologies.

Radiology Associates is among the oldest business enterprises in Arkansas and is one of the oldest continuously operating medical practices in the United States. We have provided significant national leadership to Radiology and consistently have been at the forefront of technologic innovation.

In the early 1970s, the British EMI Corporation installed the 23rd CT scanner in history in our main office in the Doctors Building. In the early 1980s, we took delivery of the first MRI scanner in Arkansas, among the first 100 clinical MRI installations in the world. RAPA was instrumental in bringing the first PET scanner to the state, working in concert with St. Vincent’s Infirmary Medical Center.

In more recent times, we have grown to serve 16 hospitals throughout South, Central, and Northwest Arkansas, as well as more than 50 clinic practices that include 4 RAPA outpatient imaging facilities. In addition to keeping Arkansas’ best and brightest physicians from UAMS, RAPA has attracted radiologists from the best programs in the country, including the Mallinckrodt Institute at Washington University, The University of Michigan, Duke University, Southwestern University in Dallas, Massachusetts General Hospital, and the University of Oklahoma. Among our many Radiologists, we have physicians with fellowship training in nearly every radiology sub-specialty.

During the past decade we have expanded and enhanced our practice by joining with existing Radiology practices in Conway, Benton, Searcy and Springdale. We have also partnered with St. Vincent Health System to open the St. Vincent Breast Center.

RAPA doctors and technologists are determined to provide Arkansan’s with the best opportunity to detect disease early, allowing one to move onto a treatment regimen that will eradicate a potentially lethal illness.

At RAPA, we’re proud of what we do and inspired by those we serve. For more than 95 years, we’ve worked to build not merely a network of resources but also to establish a legacy of compassion for Arkansans with healthcare needs. We will continue to work tirelessly to keep Arkansas current with an innovative, state of the art outpatient facility that meets the needs of our progressive medical community. We endeavor to serve in hospitals and clinics throughout Arkansas as the number one provider in imaging services.
